so what does the future hold for glo4life?
we are still passionate about it all, we still want to see it grow; but we have to eat!
therefore this growth will have to be slow and 'organic'...
we believe that we can build this into a successful business, but not one that is going to make us millionaires...we'll leave that to the supermarkets and high street chains that continue to exploit the niches the independents like ourselves have helped to develop!
we will dedicate as much time as possible to glo4life, but we have to feed ourselves and our son Tom, who inspired us to start on this journey to make things better.

SALES...are they any good?
SALES just add to the idea of clothes being in or out of season, and that fashion is disposable; and that we have to sell off 'old' stock...but what about taking a more sustainable approach? don't we want our T-shirts to last the 'test of time'? isn't that why we've invested in a more ethical and environmentaly responsible business approach? so should we fall into the trap of our designs being in or out of season? we at glo4life think not...
we will always add new designs, new colours, new styles and new products to keep the offering fresh, but that's not to say that the 'old' stuff is out of fashion! we know that people who have bought from us this 'season' will expect to see something new next 'season' (it's the way we've been programmed by the high street!); but for those who have just stumbled upon us, the 'old' stuff is 'new'! so from a sustainable angle, we'll not be selling off 'old' stock, we'll just be selling it as 'new' stock to 'new' customers...
...we think this makes more sense, and fits better with our business approach, and hopefully we can de-programme some people in the process!? |
